A Greek sponge diver discovers a beautiful antiquity at the sea's bottom on one of her dives, and then she becomes obsessed with selling it via the help of her scamming boyfriend. In the meantime, she falls in love with an American archaeologist, whom she then helps to recover it from a raiding, wealthy art collector that her sleazy ex-boyfriend sold it to, finally convinced it belongs in the hands of the Greek antiquities authority.
