Original acid free archival linen backed lithograph 'BOTTES LE CHAMEAU". The simple image of just these worker's boots and the trusted family dog walking with him in the French country side. Le Chameau was founded in 1927. The company's mission was to provide local workers and gentry with high quality boots; initially mostly rubber boots. Le Chameau stands for 'the camel'. The brand was started in 1927 by Claude Chamout from the area of Cherbourg. The boots are made by hand by one single master bootmaker. The Le Chameau is considered a luxury brand and carried a higher price tag.
