Original antique Chemins de Fer du Midi (French Government Railroad) lithograph: ROUTE des PYRENEES EAUX BONNES, artist Paul E. Champeix. This image is showing the small spa town of Eaux Bonnes ('beautiful waters') in its valley in the Pyrenees, southern France. Note: the watermark does not appear on your poster. Archival acid-free linen backed and ready to frame. The psoter is dated pre 1934 due to a French Railroad name change.
The "Chemins de Fer du Midi" wording along the top was restored; but the master poster itself was in great condition. Mastercraft linen backing made the repairs to bring this antique poster back into pristine condition.
ATLANTIC PYRENEES AND SPANISH BASQUE COUNTRY. Beautiful countryside images with the text at the top and bottom. Champseix created several posters for the French National Railways, and he will be remembered for his artwork because very little is known about him personally as an artist.
