Original vintage 1942 20"x14" poster of "We shall soon have our Storm Troopers in America" - Hitler, What do YOU say, AMERICA?. Issued by the graphics division, United States Office of War Information, Washington, D.C. OWI -- P-2 * U.S Government printing office : 1942 -- O - 472170.
IN this series it shows the Japanese Admiral Yamamoto bragging about his ultimately defeating the United States. The other posters in this series feature Italy's Mussolini and this one of Hitler of Germany.
Hitler was portrayed in American wartime propaganda as a very real menace to freedom. Shown here is Hitler's head with his mouth open as if yelling. Hitler aligned himself with Italy's Fascist leader, Benito Mussolini, and later Emperor Hirohito of Japan to form a triad that became known as the Axis Powers. Together their forces occupied much of Europe and the Pacific before being brought down by the Allied nations.
