Original TOYOTA Grand Prix of Long Beach small format poster in 'cartone' format. The poster is mounted to an easel for indoor display. Even though this is a more recent car racing poster; it is difficult to find. The Toyota event posters were not available to the public.
History: The Long Beach Grand Prix started in 1975 as a Formula 5000 race. It later evolved into a Formula One event before eventually becoming part of the CART/Champ Car series. Since 2009, it has been a part of the IndyCar Series.
Circuit: The race is held on a temporary street circuit located in downtown Long Beach. The circuit is known for its tight turns and challenging layout, making it a favorite among drivers and fans alike.
This is NOT one of the event posters for the Toyota Grand Prix that was ever offer for sale.
The 1.968-mile, 12-turn circuit encircles the Long Beach Convention Center -- which houses a Family Fun Zone and numerous displays during the race weekend -- and runs down scenic Shoreline Drive. It offers numerous overtaking opportunities, including a hairpin turn just before the frontstretch.
