ON THE JOB FOR VICTORY, Artist: Jonas Lie (1880-1940) Original and very large poster measuring issued by the United States shipping board and published by F. Powers Company in New York. This poster was also issued in the more common and larger 30″ x 40″ version and depicts the shipyard in full operation for the emergency construction of ships for the war effort. Jonas Lie was a celebrated American painter who was famous for his maritime paintings and colorful impressionistic style. This poster is very rare to find in this smallest size, and is the first time it has ever been in our gallery inventory..
