A Doughboy in Action with his Pitch-fork Pictured Fighting World Famine as Large Birds attack his Wheat Field. This Poster by the U. S. Employment Service is asking Young Boys to apply and enroll in " The Boys Working Reserve."

Details: This poster is of a war propaganda ad that shows a young man holding a pitchfork. The text at the bottom reads 'Fight World Famine. Enroll in The Boys Working Reserve.' Due to the shortage of workers in the United States, particularly in the agriculture industry, young boys, 16 to 20 years old, were encouraged to enroll in The Boys' Working Reserve during the summer months to work on farms. This was an attempt to relieve the chronic food shortage in the United States. Excellent condition
