Clean-In by Victor Moscoso
Spring Mobilization
Haight Ashbury Neighborhood
Date: Jan 22, 1967
Neon Rose #15 (NR-15).

In addition to promoting concerts at the Matrix Victor Moscoso's Neon Rose series also included commissions for posters advertising art exhibitions and special events like this one. The NR-15 advertised a Spring Mobilization for cleaning up the Haight in 1967. Another beautiful poster that will get the attention of those who realize the potential of these historic artworks!
This poster was only printed once before the concert.

Neon Rose #15 "In the Spring of 1967, the SF police were cracking down in the Height-Ashbury neighborhood. “Dirty garbage pails” was the reason they gave for their strong arm and suppressing tactics. The neighborhood fought back with a "Clean in" and these posters hung in just about every window...A wonderful sight for me!"
