Noel Fontanet Biography
Swiss artist
Noël Fontanet was born in 1898 in Geneva and lived as a caricaturist and graphic designer in the region of Geneva. He was educated as a painter at the Ecole des Beaux-Art in Geneva and drew as a caricaturist for several Geneva newspapers and for the “Nebelspalter,” a Swiss satire magazine. Fontanet designed both political posters and posters for consumer goods. He also worked as a manager for the APG, the Affichage Printing Group.
