DAUDÉ, André (1897-1979)

André Daudé founded his piano store, Pianos Daudé, in Paris in 1924. To promote the opening of his shop, Daudé designed his own poster. Apart from being a retailer, Daudé was also a pianist. It's understood Daudé depicted himself playing one of his pianos.
The successful music store announced it was moving to a bigger spacein  1975.. At this time, Pianos Daudé decided to reuse the original image updated with the new retail address and telephone number.   The later edition poster was also printed as an offset lithograph, the first printing was a full color lithograph.
