Original L' Image. Presented in a 20" x 16" acid free archival museum mat. L 'Image lithographs created for the issue of L 'Image in 1898. The issuance that was done is a quantity of 100 pieces on velum paper and 10 copies on fine Japanese imperial leaves. Currently this is the only set of all 12 pieces available from the most famous artists of their day, available for sale. These covers were for operas, plays and reviews. A revue of Litteray and artistic. Ornée de Figures sur bois. Translated it means" decorated faces on wood." Revue mensuelle litteraire & artistique.

Moreau-Nelaton, an important impressionist painter, illustrator and ceramicist created this poster to advertise the play, "The Nativity" by the abbe Jouin, parish priest of St. Medard. The artist's initials: E.M.N. have been placed within the moon in the upper left corner along with a 9 and 7 indicating the year. This maitre plate is in good condition, and it has been archivally matted.
