ORIGINAL VINTAGE WWII POSTER USE IT UP - WEAR IT OUT 1943.
Linen backed in very good condition, with the original WWII fold marks restored during linen backing.

"Use It Up, Wear It Out, Make it Do! is a 1943 U.S.A World War II propaganda poster. The image demonstrates both male and female roles in conserving goods and labor. The woman is shown patching the man's pants as he in turn is depicted fixing his push-lawn mower. The artwork is lighthearted and humorous of addressing the importance in re-use and conservation of materials during the war for the United States. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction.

During the second World War, approximately 40% of all food consumed was the product of the Victory Garden program, and the 20 million Americans who participated by planting their own gardens.
