This poster was issued in 1942, just as the US was getting fully involved in the war. This is one of the earliest usages of the term “United Nations.” This poster shows the Statue of Liberty to the left and the flags of 30 countries to the right.

At the creation of the United Nations organization in New York the member nations sought to declare their focus on freedom for all mankind. This was at the height of World War 2. The flags on the poster represent those nations that were members of the U.N. in 1942. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction.
