New York World's Air 1965 - 1965
Artist: Bob Peak. Size: 11" x 16". Printed 1961.

Original. Linen backed. Issued in 1962, the United States Steel sponsored Unisphere was presented as the symbol of the 1964 New York World's Fair. This poster was created by famed illustrator Bob Peak. Though most noted as a creator of movie poster graphics (the campaigns for "Superman" and "Star Trek" series, for example), Peak worked in just about every area of modern illustration. He executed a large number of Time Magazine and TV Guide covers. Peak also dappled in industrial design. This poster for what has been called the last great World's Fair in the US has come to sum up the excitement and very 1960s imagery of the 64/ 65 Fair, just as Binder's famed Trylon and Perisphere poster captured the art moderne look of the 1939 NY World's Fair.

This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
