Vintage Indian Price Motorcycle horizontal poster. “The Personal Motor Indian Prince”. Only $185.
Along the bottom it restates the Price $185, Complete electrical equipment, $30 extra. F.O.B. Springfield, Mass. This poster is not dated.
Archival linen backed. Printed on heavier paper stock. In very good condition with (presumed) some red color loss over the last 90 years. Right corner was slightly folded but repaired during linen backing. We have only been able to locate one other copy of this poster that survived and was sold.
Reference on this motorcycle indicates this the Indian Prince was their latest engineering triumph, a real motorcycle, light in wight, lowest in first cost, lowest in upkeep, simplest to handle. It goes 90 to 100 miles on a gallon of petrol. Speed 50 to 55 miles an hour. And you can learn to ride it in 5 minutes. This was taken from a 1925 magazine ad describing this motorcycle. This is an original vintage motorcycle poster. It is not a reproduction. All of our vintage posters do come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
In 1926 the Indian Motorcycle has the Indian Scout, this poster the Indian Prince, and the Indian Chief. The Indian Prince is a motorcycle manufactured by the Hendee Manufacturing Company from 1925 to 1928. An entry-level single-cylinder motorcycle, the Prince was restyled after its first year and discontinued after four years.
The frame and forks of the Prince were revived in 1933 and used with V-twin engines to form the Motoplane and the Pony Scout.
