Original FAR EAST FLY THERE BY B.O.A.C. British Overseas Airline Corporation. Size: 24.75" x 39.75". ( Note that this poster image was also printed in a smaller size of 19" x 30"). Archival linen backed original British travel by air antique vintage poster. B condition with restored fold marks. The image also was created with a French text.
While many airline advertisements boast the newest model of transport, the British Overseas Airways Corporation opted to depict more humble modes of travel, underscoring that they can take you far away—Far East, that is. BOAC airline was the first to introduce passenger jets into service in 1952. in the foreground and a person in a white outfit and hat pulling another rickshaw below colorful Chinese lanterns against the blue background, the text advertising travel to Asia and the Far East in English
This original BOAC poster was folded and has home some restoration primarily in the black area of the rig shaw. Therefore; this poster is in B condition. One of the last document sales of this poster was only the small version in 2014 and sold for 420 pounds. The price reflects the B condition; but also the much rare large format size. The French version is available for 1250 pounds, but normally less valuable in the USA. This original English poster is sold at the internet’s best price!
This Far East version for this BOAC travel poster has naturally an Asian flair with a horse drawn carriage in the center; a rig shaw being pulled by a man and paper lanterns all set on a dark baby blue b\ackground.
