Original Rick Griffin, Big Brother and the Holding Company Poster first printing of the Family Dog horizontal poster, done in an edition of 2000. There are two first printings of the poster one in this large size and the other in a smaller 14 3/16 x 20" size. FD079. This poster was printed before the concert in a run of 2,000.

The first of the Denver Dogs shows, this is one of the most rare and spectacular rock posters of the era, featuring amazingly detailed illustrations. Held in Denver, Colorado, the Family Dog produced this two-day concert for Big Brother & the Holding Company (Janis Joplin's first band) and Blue Cheer. This is known as First Printing B, the larger format pre-concert printing of the image.
