Original VIVIANE DECK linen-backed vintage poster. The artist signed the poster with the initials V. D. Printed by Lacrois, Paris, France.
She is shown dancing as a butterfly with green at the top, medium red in the middle, and medium dark indigo blue at the bottom and wording. It is a remanence of Loie Fuller’s fire dance as she dances with huge outstretched arms.
This is most likely a ‘personality poster’ for Viviane Deck. These posters were displayed at venues where she was to perform. The poster would have added a snipe with the date and time. Otherwise, very little is known about Viviane Deck. Currently, this is the only known copy of this poster that we have been able to document.
This original vintage poster is linen-backed and ready to frame. A- condition with only a minor restoration on the left outside border. Normal minor surface wear. The poster is printed on unbleached cotton paper.
