ORIGINAL VINTAGE WWII POSTER USE IT UP - WEAR IT OUT 1943.

"Use It Up,Wear It Out,Make it Do! is a 1943 U.S.A World War II propaganda poster. The image demonstrates both male and female roles in conserving goods and labor. The woman is shown patching the man's pants as he in turn?is depicted fixing his push-lawn mower. The artwork is lighthearted and humorous of addressing the importance in re-use and conservation of materials during the war for the United States. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction.

During the second World War, approximately 40% of all food consumed was the product of the Victory Garden program, and the 20 million Americans who participated by planting their own gardens.

This poster has been archival mounted on linen. It is in excellent condition, though the creases are still somewhat visible. During WW2, virtually all American propaganda posters were folded so they could be sent through the mail to destinations throughout the country.
