Original WW1 US propaganda poster designed by Charles Livingston Bull (1874-1932) and entitled “Keep Him Free”. This poster was issued to promote the purchase of War Savings Stamps issued by the US Treasury department. This poster has been linen backed. This poster features a bald eagle perched on the edge of his nest, surrounded by numerous WWI biplanes. This is an excellent poster for the WWI collector or any aviation enthusiast. Both the eagle and the planes are drawn with magnificent detail.
.By means of inventive campaigning, the government was able to bring in more than a billion dollars through the sale of Thrift and War Savings Stamps" (Rawls, pp. 219-222). Here, the emblematic bald eagle watches as her nest of Curtiss Jenny biplanes heads off to Europe to fight the good fight.
