Give it Your Best -Buy War Bonds, 48 Stars in this American flag. Much more strait forward than the Jasper Johns version, this is as American as apple pie. A fantastic and rare morale poster from World War 2. While Coiner expressed no regrets about serving "the wheels of industry", saying, "If we had better designers working with industry or with government, we might not have a better world but it would surely look better." As a designer of war posters, civilian defense logos, and the Blue Eagle symbol of the National Recovery Administration under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Coiner’s influence extended well beyond the world of commerce.

Artist: Charles Coiner. Size 20" x 28.5" horizontal format original World War II antique military poster.

: Issued by the United States Dept. of Information during the Second World War, this poster serves as a rallying cry for all Americans to serve their country as well as they can. It cleverly uses the flag with 48 stars to remind the viewer of their patriotic duty. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.

The Stars and Stripes in red, white and blue spender. Powerful in its simple and bold presentation, by some accounts a forerunner of the series of paints by Jasper Johns.
