Original WWII poster, linen backed, horizontal format "They Cheer When You Take Off Without Looking" Printed by the Directorate of Air Traffic and Safety, and Directorate of Safety Education C-L-13. Date: 1943.
The pilot is being distracted by by Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo shown in the lower left corner grab his attention. The landing gear of another plane is shown hovering above him during take-off.
Since this is a World War II vintage poster, he would have been part of the Army Air Forces. On 18 September 1947, the Army Air Forces became the United States Air Force as a separate and equal element of the United States Armed Forces.
