Ruth Alexander Nichols Biography

Born in Seattle, WA on Oct. 7, 1901. Ruth Nichols studied at the Seattle Art Institute. After moving to San Francisco in the 1920s, she further studied with Dong Kingman. In 1930 she married Ernest Maldi. In 1962 she moved down the coast to Santa Cruz and lived there until her demise on Dec. 30, 2000. As well as china painting, she also painted florals in watercolor and oil.
