Georges Dola Biography

Georges Dola (Edmond Vernier) 1872-1950
Dola was born in Eastern France in a town called Dole, from which he took his pseudonym. Little is known about his early years, but it is certain that he had his own studio in Paris where he produced many posters, mainly theatrical. Later on, he became involved with film industry and worked on film advertising posters. His posters are illustrative and capture scenes from daily life, stage productions and movies.
