Gaston Noury Biography
Noury worked in Le Havre and Paris, primarily as a painter and illustrator. He also designed theatre costumes.

"Noury was born and grew up in Elbeuf (France) where his grandfather was founder and director of the local museum. Although his primary interests were painting and drawing nature subjects, he created several evocative posters of the era " (Rennert, PAI-XXX, 242)
