Frances Tipton Hunter Biography
Born in Howard, Pennsylvania, Frances Tipton Hunter (1896–1957) was one of the most prominent female illustrators of the 20th century. Known for her warm, nostalgic depictions of American life, she was a contemporary of Norman Rockwell and achieved similar national acclaim for her ability to capture the innocence and humor of childhood.
