||Original. Presented in a 16" x 20" acid free archival museum mat. "Woman with Peacocks," a lithograph by Louis Rhead (1857 - 1926) from the album of original prints "L'Estampe Moderne," published monthly between May 1897 and April 1899.
This is a beautifully lithographed decorative plate. It is not from the Maitre de L'Affiche series, but is a similar size. It also has been imprinted with a printer's emblem in the lower right corner. Excellent condition. Vintage Entertainment poster by RHEAD. From the original printing in 1897.
Rhead emigrated to the United States in 1883, becoming a prominent poster artist and illustrator, heavily influenced by the art nouveau style of Swiss artist Eugene Grasset.
