||Original James Montgomeryh Flagg 'WANT ACTION? JOIN U. S. MARINE CORPS!' Want Action? Join U.S. Marine Corps, the 1941 U.S. World War II (WWII) recruitment poster ("Apply to nearest recruiting station") encouraging men to join the United States Marine Corps and featuring art of a World War I Marine standing in full uniform with a rifle and bayonet in one hand and an outstretched arm beckoning the viewer to join the Marines by James Montgomery Flagg. Note that this was artwork created by Flagg during World War I for use as a World War I Marine recruiting poster, and immediately after Pearl Harbor, this art was pulled out and used for this World War II recruiting poster, which was created on December 13, 1941 (the poster is dated at bottom left), which explains why the Marine is wearing a World War I uniform, which was no longer in use in 1941.
