This poster proclaims in French, a "Greener Argenteuil". An artist's paintbrush radiates a bluish-green light, which reflects upon the brush, a bird on the paint brush, and a leaf. The leaf appears to emerging out of the wooden handle of the brush. This symbolizes Argenteuil's history, famous painters such as Claude Monet, Jean-Étienne Delacroix, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir came to Argenteuil to paint, and Georges Braque was born there. The bird and the leaf act as the agriculture city is also known for, white asparagus and grapes. |
