Simone Frevalles (Frévalles)
The artist, Vertes, was known for his high-fashion and high-society designs executed during the 1920s and '30s. It was Vertes' hand seen drawing the sketches of Lautrec in John Huston's "Moulin Rouge."--a film for which he won 2 Academy Awards in 1952.
As she became more famous the poster was adapted and changed to add more jewelry later. |
