Title   What the Liberty Motor Will do to the Hun
Date Of Work   circa 1917
Dimensions   25" x 38"
Notes   Liberty 12-A engines were used to build D.H. 4s, the only American made airplane to get into Western front combat. Called "Flaming Coffins" because poorly constructed fuel systems made them easy targets for enemy bullets. Used for U.S. Mail after WW one.

"You who build Liberty Motors - keep thinking of the man who is going to drive themů" Cadillac Motor Co. Unusual, scarce and boldly colored lithograph designed for factory use. Jenny-like biplane, flaming motor exposed, swoops down, firing Lewis gun at running Hun at bottom. Scarce.
